The Social Action Committee sponsors activities emphasizing voter education and registration.  They inform the chapter of current national and local issues so that every member will be an informed, effective citizen and voter.  They also encourage active participation of members in political activity.

The Terre Haute Wabash Valley Alumnae Chapter collaborates with the League of Women Voters as well as the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People to host candidate forums during every election cycle.

The inaugural Delta Day at the City Council began on April 10, 2025 in which the Chapter hosted a reception for the council members and during the meeting President, Mary Howard, shared a presentation on the history of the THWVAC and Delta Sigma Theta as well as reviewed legislation and policies impacting the community.
