Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Terre Haute Wabash Valley Alumnae awards two (2) $500 scholarships to graduating college-bound women from an underrepresented background who demonstrate excellence. Applicants for the scholarship must reside in the service areas of Vigo, Clay, Sullivan, Vermillion, Parke, Green, Putnam, and Owen counties . Recipients must be enrolled at an accredited college  or  university  in  the  upcoming  academic  year. 

​The purpose of this scholarship is to recognize the significant achievements of African American girls/women who have not only excelled academically, but who demonstrate strong leadership ability, involvement in extracurricular activities, and who volunteer in their community.
